Unlimited Soup and Salad, Mix and Match menus headline new lunch specials
As it moves to further reinvigorate its business, Romano’s Macaroni Grill has launched a new menu and lunch specials, which include a limited-time lunch pass to save guests money. The 85-unit Italian-style casual-dining chain launched the Macaroni Grill Mix and Match (Mix + Match) program, whereby customers can combine any two options on the menu for under $11, or they can choose the Unlimited Soup and Salad (Soup + Salad) Program for comparable pricing. (The Chicken Milanese Panzanella are excluded from both programs.)
Through July 22, 2018, customers can purchase a Mix and Match lunch pass for $75, giving them access to complimentary lunch for the entire month of August 2018. These are first-come, first-served and there are only 5,000 passes available for sale (see below for the link).
With over 300 combinations, the Mix and Match program should prove popular, as it includes options from a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, Calzonettos and classic pasta dishes. The Unlimited Soup and Salad program includes unlimited soup and unlimited salad for under $11. Customers also have the option of adding a soup for $2.49 to any entree choice.
From the sandwich menu, guests can try the Pesto Caprese or the Porchetta or any of the five other options. The Pesto Caprese is fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil pesto, arugula, and mediterranean vinaigrette on ciabatta. The Porchetta sandwich is thinly sliced italian porchetta, calabrian pesto, arugula, pickled red onions, smoked buffalo mozzarella, and salsa verde on a ciabatta.
Calzonettos are “handheld pockets stuffed with Italian flavors then baked in our brick oven” and include the Pepperoni and Chicken Caesar options. A highlight from the Macaroni Grill Lunch Salad selections is the Chicken Florentine: roasted chicken, chopped spinach, orzo, sun-dried tomatoes, roma tomatoes, capers, olives, pine nuts, and mediterranean vinaigrette.
Macaroni Grill Lunch Pasta options include the Butternut Tortellacci, a four-cheese stuffed tortellacci with asiago cream, butternut squash, prosciutto with parmesan, and the Penne Rustica—roasted chicken, shrimp, prosciutto, rosemary cream, parmesan. Additionally, there are 9 other choices.
Classic Italian selections from the land and sea menu include the Chicken Marsala, which is a tender chicken breast with mushrooms, marsala wine sauce, roasted garlic, served atop capellini, and the Shrimp Portofino—sautéed jumbo shrimp over capellini with a medley of spinach, mushrooms, garlic, pine nuts, and lemon butter.
Macaroni Grill Brick Oven Pizzas include Pepperoni, Margherita, Cheese, and Farmhouse. The Lite Lunch options are the Pomodoro Pansotti, Ratatouille and Pollo Caprese. Pollo Caprese is a grilled chicken breast, imported buffalo mozzarella, imported pomodorina and capellini. Macaroni Grill Lunch Soups include the daily Tomato Basil selection and the variable Soup of the Day.
