Chipotle Mexican Grill has expanded its partnership with DoorDash to enable national delivery in 70 markets and at over 1,800 Chipotle locations. Chipotle’s customers will be able to order delivery using the website or the Chipotle mobile app. For a limited time, between August 27 and September 12, 2018, guests will get free delivery on orders of $10 or more (not including tip or tax).
“Our expanded partnership leverages our strong logistics platform, which enables Chipotle to further the brand’s commitment to make its delicious food available to their customers wherever and however they want it,” said Curt Garner, Chipotle chief digital and information officer, in a statement.
The fast-casual chain has been focusing on digital and off-premise initiatives as part of its strategic plan. Chipotle says it explored many delivery partner options before landing on DoorDash. The chain has added mobile order shelving units to make the takeout experience more seamless and has added a digitally-enabled second prep line.
Chipotle indicated the free delivery offer cannot be combined with any other promotion of promotional code.
