Fiesta Restaurant Group, parent of Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical, announced that Jackie Swift-Kurkjian has joined the company as senior director of Off-Premise Consumption. In this role, she will lead the efforts to build the catering, online and delivery sales channels at these quick-service chains. Her role will help the brands leverage new information systems, resources and people as part of Fiesta’s Strategic Renewal Plan, said President and CEO Richard Stockinger, in a statement.
Swift-Kurkjian is a 15-year catering veteran and was formerly a national director of catering and backline sales for Potbelly Sandwich Works. She also held the role of director of catering sales & operations for Qdoba and was a faculty member at the Catering Institute. Swift-Kurkjian is a council member of the Catering Council for Multi-Unit Restaurant Operators (CCMURO).

“We are excited about her passion and commitment to our brands and expect it will deliver a positive impact to our business,” added Stockinger.
In the second quarter of 2018, Pollo Tropical increased its comparable sales by 3.4 percent and Taco Cabana increased comparable sales by 3.1 percent. Both chains are posting positive comparable sales year-to-date.
