Lavu, a mobile POS (point-of-sale) company, and Dining Alliance, a group purchasing organization, have entered into a joint marketing agreement. Through the collaboration, Lavu will jointly market its mobile POS systems with FoodBam, a proprietary inventory management technology, while Dining Alliance will market Lavu’s mobile POS systems to its members.
“Lavu’s mission is to help restaurants and bars efficiently manage every aspect of their business, “ said Saleem S. Khatri, Lavu chief executive, in a statement. “We recognize the challenges facing our clients to control food costs and maintain a healthy bottom line.”
Lavu, based in Albuquerque, N.M., offers a versatile system that includes payment processing and inventory management. FoodBAM is an online ordering platform helping management inventory and cost of goods sold. The Lavu and Dining Alliance joint marketing agreement should help scale the inventory tools offered by both companies.
