Melt Shop opens Union Square, N.Y. restaurant

Fast casual sets up shop on 4th Avenue in Manhattan

Melt Shop has opened a new restaurant in the Union Square neighborhood of New York City. This will be the fifth restaurant for the Melt Shop in the city and the 11th overall in the U.S. Melt Shop Union Square, which is located at 135 4th Avenue, features the chain’s new storefront design and kitchen package. The innovations speed up service times through the use of a signature double-stacked conveyor oven.

Melt Shop Union Square will offer Housemade Chicken Tenders and the Vegan Burger Melt. Guests will be able to order online or for delivery from the restaurant.

The fast-casual Melt Shop concept, which specializes in melted cheese sandwiches, tots, tenders, salads, and shakes, is tageting growth in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions and Florida through franchising. Melt Shop is a Top 100 Movers & Shakers, as named by Fast Casual magazine. With a goal of 100 units by 2023, Melt Shop has a development pipeline of 20 stores currently.
