Bojangles’ hires restaurant industry veteran Ken Koziol
Koziol is first Bojangles’ chief restaurant support officer
Bojangles’ has hired Ken Koziol, a 35-year restaurant industry veteran, who was executive vice president of Supply Chain, Manufacturing and International, at Panera Bread. Koziol fills the new chief restaurant support officer role for Bojangles’, reporting to Jose Amario, chief executive of Bonjangles’. Koziol spent 20 years at McDonald’s, holding various posts and promoted to executive vice president and McDonald’s Worldwide chief restaurant officer prior to his departure.
Amario said in a news release, “Ken’s extensive strategy development background, QSR business acumen and industry experience will add tremendous value to us as we prepare the groundwork for our long-term growth strategy.” Bojangles’ Chief Executive Amario took the helm of the Charlotte, N.C.-based chicken and biscuit chain in January.
As the new Bojangles’ chief restaurant support officer, Koziol will oversee and strategize Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Strategy, Menu Development, Innovation and Information Technology. QSR chain Bojangles’ was acquired by The Jordan Company and Durational Capital Management in November.
“I look forward to working with all the talented people across our system, including our franchisees, to continue growing the brand and solidifying its legacy,” said Koziol.
