Bojangles’ and Long John Silver’s offer fish LTOs
QRS are turning up the excitement factor on fish during the 2019 Lenten season. Bojangles’ has added the BojAngler limited-time offering (LTO). The BojAngler fish sandwich is a wild-caught Alaskan Pollock filet, with a Cajun-inspired seasoning blend, topped with a slice of American cheese and a ‘dollop’ of Bojangles’ creamy tartar sauce, in between two toasted, buttered buns. At Long John Silver’s, the order of the season is more fish. More fish because its latest offerings are the Thick Cut Alaska White Fish Basket and the Thick Cut Alaska White Fish Sandwich Combo, which the chain says have 50 percent more fish than its traditional offerings.
“What could be better than our golden fried Alaska White Fish? Our new golden, fried Thick Cut Alaska White Fish that’s 50 percent thicker so that you get more delicious, flaky fish in every bite,” said Stephanie Mattingly, VP of Marketing and Culinary Innovation for Long John Silver’s.
Fish LTOs ramp up craveability
Long John Silver’s Thick Cut White Fish Basket includes two pieces of Thick Cut Alaska White Fish, a side choice and two of its signature hushpuppies for $5.99. The 500-unit seafood QSR is also offering the Thick Cut White Fish Sandwich Combo, which includes a Thick Cut Alaska White Fish Sandwich, served with pickles and tartar sauce, in addition to a side order and 20-ounce beverage for $5.99. Both LTOs are available at participating Long John Silver’s locations only.

Bojangles’ is also offering the special sandwich in a meal. The BojAngler dinner platter features two BojAngler filets, two home-style fixin’s sides, a buttermilk biscuit, side of tartar sauce, and a 22 oz., served with Bojangles’ Iced Tea or any other beverage of choice. As QSRs feature fish LTOs, there’s a greater opportunity to drive sales during the Lenten season by offering something new on the menu.
“After a few short years, the BojAngler has quickly become one of our most anticipated limited time offerings,” said Randy Poindexter, Bojangles’ senior VP of Marketing. “It’s a one-of-a-kind, flavorful product that is guaranteed to hook you the first time.”
The BojAngler is only available for at participating Bojangles’ locations, announced the chain, and prices may vary by location.
