Applebee’s Absolut Rainbow Punch follows Dollar Hurricane
Applebee’s continued its Drink of the Month series with the Absolut Rainbow Punch LTO (limited-time offer) for $2. The March cocktail celebrates Mardi Gras, Saint Patrick’s Day and upcoming spring celebrations, said the chain in an announcement. In festive fashion, Applebee’s Absolut Rainbow Punch combines Absolut Vodka, with green apple, ginger and lemon flavors.
What’s more, Applebee’s Absolut Rainbow Punch, which is served in a 10-ounce mug, strikes a fun, colorful tone with the addition of rainbow gummy garnish.
Also, the Dollar Hurricane, Applebee’s previous Drink of the Month, remains on the beverage menu at participating restaurants until Mardi Gras, March 5. Applebee’s fills a 10-ounce mug with rum, passion fruit, orange, black cherry, and lime to produce the Dollar Hurricane cocktail.
According to the fourth quarter 2018 earnings release of its parent, Dine Brands Global, Applebee’s is a on a resurgence. Applebee’s posted comparable sales growth of 3.5 percent in the fourth quarter, and 5.0 percent comp growth for all of fiscal 2018. Additionally, the 1,846-unit casual dining chain posted five consecutive quarters of positive comparable store sales increases.
“So, we made a vibrant green punch, packed it with flavor, and topped it with a rainbow,” said Patrick Kirk, VP of beverage innovation at Applebee’s. “Literally, it (Applebee’s Absolut Rainbow Punch) comes with a rainbow that you can eat!”
