Casual-dining chain Applebee’s plays up value with 15 popular items
Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar is returning another value play to its menu through its 3-Course value meal. Applebee’s 3-Course Meal starts with a choice of entrée, then an appetizer and side salad. Applebee’s offers the 3-Course Meal starting at $11.99, excluding tax and gratuity, for a limited time. Fifteen popular items, from the Spinach & Artichoke Dip to the Shrimp Wonton Stir-Fry, make up this meal promotion.
Applebee’s 3-Course Meal provides variety
Guests start with a side salad—a choice of House or Caesar—as first course. That’s followed by an appetizer from a list of these options: saucy Boneless Wings, cheesy Mozzarella Sticks, creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip, or Crunchy Onion Rings. Next up is the third course, which has a variety of options as the entrée: creamy Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, Classic Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries or Shrimp Wonton Stir-Fry. What’s more, the casual-dining chain serves six other options as part of the Applebee’s 3-Course Meal. These additional selections vary by location.
Also in its announcement, the chain promoted its order-ahead program, Applebee’s To Go. Applebee’s has made an effort to build its To-Go (takeout) and delivery business. Consequently, order-ahead patrons will also enjoy the Applebee’s 3-Course Meal.
While takeout has been the driver of the To-Go business, 300 new Applebee’s restaurants started offering delivery in the most recent quarter. Approximately 1,100 Applebee’s units now offer delivery. Moreover, Applebee’s expects to have a total of 1,500 delivery-enabled restaurants by the end of 2019.
“We know our guests love bigger portions, and with more than 70 different unique combinations available, we’re giving guests a real 3-Course Meal and the power to create the feast that they desire,” said Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer at Applebee’s.
Applebee’s operates and franchises 1,846 units. To view the menu options and price points of the value meal, navigate to its menu.
