International Domino’s store no. 10,000 is also 200th in mainland China
Domino’s Pizza hit a new milestone in store count by opening its 10,000th international store in Shenzhen, China. The new store is also the 200th store for Domino’s in mainland China. As Domino’s opens store 10,000, at the IBC Mall, it continues to bring new design elements to its stores. The Domino’s Shenzen at IBC employs a new larger design of more than 1,300 square feet with the pizza theater model, provides indoor seating for customers and tracks real-time order status on a flat-screen TV.
Dash Brands Ltd. franchises Domino’s stores in mainland China as its master franchisee there. “Not only are we excited to open the 200th Domino’s location in mainland China, but we are thrilled that it marks the brand’s 10,000th store outside of the U.S.,” said Frank Krasovec, chairman of Dash Brands. “We look forward to bringing our delicious pizzas, quality products and delivery expertise to customers in Shenzhen.”
Domino’s has reported more than half of its $13.5B in global retail sales come from its international store presence, and that it operates in 85 markets across the globe. The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based pizza chain operates and franchises about 13,900 stores.
“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the opening of this milestone store, as it is located in a vivacious city bustling with e-commerce and technology enterprises. We look forward to bringing the best carryout and delivery experience to those in Shenzhen,” said Joe Jordan, executive vice president of Domino’s International.
As Domino’s Shenzhen milestone store opens with Dash Brands, the QSR pizza chain sets its sights on continued robust expansion through franchising.
