Rodizio Grill readies Pointe Orlando, Florida location

Chain’s fifth restaurant in Florida will open on International Drive

Rodizio Grill announced the opening of a new unit opening this fall in Pointe Orlando, Fla. The new, churrasco-style restaurant will be located on International Drive in the heart of the tourist district. The chain designed Rodizio Grill Pointe Orlando in a prime location, within walking distance to the Orlando Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency Orlando and other major landmarks. The restaurant will also be close to the well-visited WonderWorks upside-down building.

“Our unique spirit of fun, adventure and ‘alegria’ (joy) delivers a truly authentic Brazilian dining experience that is not only memorable, but unlike any other,” said Rodizio Grill Founder Ivan Utrera. “As Ambassadors of Brazil, we cannot wait to welcome the community into Rodizio Grill – our home – and celebrate with us the warmth and alegria that is the Rodizio experience.”

The Pointe Orlando restaurant boasts 500 seats and is primed to offer private dining and semi-private dining for large parties. Additionally, the restaurant will host events. In this tourist-centric district, Rodizio Grill will compete with at least three other Brazilian steakhouses.

Founded in 1995, the Brazilian-steakhouse chain operates mainly in South Central and Western United States, and Florida,. It also has a scattering of additional locations in the Midwest , New Jersey and Texas. The Fogo de Chão chain, owned by private equity firm Rhône Capital, is a main competitor.
