New addition to menu taps Caribbean-spice flavor
Firehouse Subs introduced the Jamaican Jerk Turkey Sub nationwide. The sandwich features sliced, smoked turkey breast, served with a sweet mustard sauce that has a hint of Caribbean seasoning. Firehouse Subs restaurants serve it with melted pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo, on a hot, toasted sub roll.
Guests create their personalized flavor combination via the Firehouse Subs’ hot sauce bar. It offers a variety of over 25 complimentary hot sauces to top off the sandwich. Take the Captain Sorensen’s Datil Pepper Hot Sauce, for example, which is named after the founder’s brother. Rob Sorensen is a retired fire captain.
“The Jamaican Jerk Turkey Sub has bold flavors featured in our custom Caribbean spices that we are excited and proud to introduce during our 25th anniversary milestone,” said Jay Miller, Firehouse Subs director of Product Development in the chain’s announcement.
The Firehouse Jamaican Jerk Turkey Sub is a new menu addition menu, available in the United States, including Puerto Rico. Also, the fast-casual chain developed the Rapid Rescue To Go station for order-ahead pick-up.
Founded in 1994, Firehouse Subs operates and franchises 1,170 stores across the United States, including Puerto Rico, and Canada. Brothers and former firefighters Chris and Robin Sorensen started the sandwich chain. Annually, the chain donates at least one million dollars to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
