New desserts come with bounty of edible, cookie dough pieces
Sonic Drive-In added edible cookie dough to the menu. The quick-service chain unveiled the Big Scoop Cookie Dough Blast and Big Scoop Cookie Dough Sundae. Starting at $2.99, customers can indulge in these cookie dough flavors. The Blast is a thick, combination of ice cream and chocolate chip cookie dough pieces for those on the go.
The drive-in chain serves the Sonic Big Scoop Cookie Dough Sundae ice cream with soft, edible cookie dough pieces, topped with caramel sauce.
“For too long, we’ve been told not to eat the cookie dough, but our delicious, edible chocolate chip cookie dough is combined with our rich and creamy real ice cream for a dessert that is both familiar and original,” said Scott Uehlein, Product Innovation and Development VP for Sonic.
Both new desserts come with “oversized scoop of dreamy, edible chocolate chip cookie dough,” said the chain. Also, Sonic’s mobile app is fast-tracking customers ahead of the line for convenient and quick indulgence.
Inspire Brands operates and franchises Sonic Drive-In restaurants. Sonic’s parent also owns the Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and Rusty Taco restaurant chains.
