Scott Hargrove tapped as EVP, global chief marketing officer
California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) named Scott Hargrove executive vice president and global chief marketing officer. The appointment of Hargrove follows his work in leading marketing efforts for the Los Angeles-based casual-dining, pizza chain since earlier this year. He’s assumed a range of promotional activities, including brand and performance marketing, social media and communications. Additionally, Hargrove has been instrumental in the culinary innovation process and spearheading community engagement.
“Scott brings to our table an impressive record driving impact at some of the world’s most beloved consumer and tech brands, with a unique blend of digital savvy, creative storytelling and global brand building expertise,” said Jim Hyatt, CPK chief executive and president.
As CPK global chief marketing officer, Hargrove will work closely with digital and analytics team members in promoting the brand. Previously, he served as head of brand and consumer marketing for Snap, Inc. There, he led consumer and product marketing for both Snapchat and Spectacles. As part of the team, Hargrove successfully launched Spectacles 2.0, Lens Studio and Snap Originals.
Prior to his role at Snapc, Inc, he helped lead billion-dollar brands at the Coca-Cola Company. As an executive with Coca-Cola for 15 years, he worked on Sprite, Diet Coke, Powerade, and vitaminwater.
In addition, Hargrove will bring a “new era of guest experience,” said the news announcement of his upcoming work as CPK global chief marketing officer.
