Applebee’s taps DoorDash for national delivery

Free delivery for football season is part of new agreement

Applebee’s launched national delivery with DoorDash. Hungry diners can access delivery from the Neighborhood Grill + Bar through Applebees.com or through the Applebee’s Delivery app. As part of an announced deal, DoorDash powers both Applebee’s national delivery and the app.

The Glendale, Calif.-based casual dining chain also announced free delivery though September 1. In addition, Applebee’s partnered with NBC Sports’ Football Night In America this football season. This will result in an extended free delivery period starting September 8 and ending December 29.

Furthermore, Applebee’s national delivery with DoorDash is making it easier for Applebee’s customers to order faves, like the Boneless Chicken Wings or Loaded Shrimp Fajitas.

“Within the casual dining category, we continue to be at the forefront of innovation in off-premise offerings, and will continue to look for ways to make enjoying our food available to our guests for any occasion,” said Scott Gladstone, vice president of strategy, off-premise and development at Applebee’s, in a statement.

Recently, Applebee’s launched a promotion on is Handcrafted Burgers line. Customers can purchase the Quesadilla Burger, Whiskey Bacon Burger or Brunch Burger for as little as $7.99. Also, price specials for Applebee’s Handcrafted Burgers vary by location.
