New features increase ordering, points-earning flexibility
Dunkin’ improved mobile ordering with DD Perks enhancements and changes to its ordering-ahead program. The Dunkin’ app now allows any customer, regardless of whether they are a DD Perks Rewards member or not to order ahead. On-The-Go Mobile Ordering can now be accessed by anyone with the Dunkin’ app. The coffee chain also gave the design a refresh and made it easier to earn rewards. Additionally, guests can earn points whether paying with cash, credit, debit or a Dunkin’ gift card effective October.
The way it works is through the use of a DD Perks loyalty ID QR code. Dunkin’ guests show the code on the app to earn points using any payment method. Through these DD Perks enhancements, updated rewards balance information and points earned print on the receipt.
“With the nationwide rollout of On-The-Go Guest Ordering and by making our loyalty program more flexible, we’re ensuring that all of our guests can take advantage of mobile ordering and DD Perks, which we’re confident will help fuel further growth in our digital ecosystem,” said Stephanie Meltzer-Paul, Digital and Loyalty Marketing vice president for Dunkin’ U.S.
Dunkin’ reported it now has 12 million members enrolled in the DD Perks program. After the DD Perks enhancements, guests continue to earn five points for every dollar spent. Upon earning 200 points, Dunkin’ rewards DD Perks members with a free beverage.
