The chain crowdsourced the frightful, $1 Vampire drink
Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar introduced the $1 Vampire as the Drink of the Month for October. Available as of October 1, the restaurant chain serves the frightful concoction through the end of the month. The concoction is a mix of rum, strawberry, dragon fruit, passion fruit and a dash of pineapple. Also, Applebee’s $1 Vampire drink came to life through crowdsourcing.
What’s more, Applebee’s serves the cocktail with a cherry on top and a set of complimentary vampire fangs. Glendale, Calif.-based Applebee’s has been rotating cocktails in its Drink of the Month series. The value play adds excitement its bar scene.
“Seriously, where else can you buy a delicious cocktail and walk away with a Halloween costume (plastic Vampire fangs) for only a buck?” asked Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation at Applebee’s.
Applebee’s Drink of the Month pricing and availability may vary by location, said the 1,822-unit chain. Dine Brands Global operates and franchises both the Applebee’s and IHOP casual-dining chains. As part of a new marketing campaign, Applebee’s is using the #DollarVampire hashtag. Its marketers are also asking fans to post photos of the drink with the hashtag.
