Sampling event on Halloween to introduce guests to plant-based burger
Denny’s Beyond Burger has joined the plant-based movement among restaurant chains. The family-dining chain—known widely for its breakfast offering—partnered with Beyond Meat in a Los Angeles market rollout. Also, Beyond’s patty is 100-percent plant-based. And this Halloween, Denny’s will introduce the new item to guests in a free sampling event at its Los Angeles restaurants from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“The new Beyond Burger at Denny’s offers guests a great tasting burger, and we’re delighted to launch it in Los Angeles, and will be preparing for the national rollout in 2020,” said John Dillon, chief brand officer for Denny’s.
Denny’s tops the Beyond patty with freshly sliced tomatoes and onions. Its restaurants serve it with crisp lettuce, pickles, American cheese and All-American sauce, nestled in a multigrain bun. In Los Angeles, the Denny’s plant-based headliner launched October 28. In addition, the Spartanburg, S.C.-based chain will roll out the new item in all of its other markets.
“Through our partnership with Denny’s, we look forward to introducing more families to the nutritional and environmental benefits of consuming plant-based meat,” said Tim Smith, Beyond Meat vice president of North America Sales, Foodservice.
