Atlanta QSR reveals LTOs can increase its traffic by 40 percent
Krystal released its handspun Eggnog Shake for the holiday season. The new LTO, which retails at $2.99, is available for a limited time. The QSR prepares Krystal Eggnog Shake with soft-serve ice cream and tops it with whip cream. The Krystal Eggnog LTO follows the Nashville Hot Chik LTO, which management deemed a success.
The Krystal Company’s past LTOs included a Country-Fried Steak Krystal, Tabasco Krystal, Lemon Ice Box Pie Shake, and Banana Pudding Shake. Krystal also unveiled Frozen Lemonhead Slushies “made with real Lemonhead.” Eighty percent of orders include a Krystal burger, but non-burgers and beverages also excite guests. Krystal LTOs can increase guest traffic by as much as 40 percent.

According to its senior manager for culinary innovation, Brandon Freeman, the base of Krystal Eggnog LTO represents a proprietary blend of creamy vanilla custard, cinnamon and nutmeg. The Atlanta.-based burger chain is known for its sliders. Its Krystal Eggnog pudding, made with buns, demonstrates the same creativity as Krystal’s Secret Stuffing recipe. The latter uses 20 original Krystal burgers at the core of its recipe.
“Customers always ask if Krystal’s Eggnog Shake is spiked,” added Freeman. “We advise them to go out and purchase our Eggnog Shake, then bring it home and add two ounces of their favorite bourbon to make it boozy.”
