Taco Del Mar announces Beyond Meat Taco rollout at all locations

Rollout follows successful test of Beyond Beef Feisty Crumbles

Taco Del Mar announced its Beyond Meat Taco rollout chainwide. The fast-casual chain will begin offering the plant-based menu items starting December 3. The rollout across all stores follows a successful test in August. Initially, Taco Del Mar Beyond Meat Tacos will be available as a LTO (limited-time offering). Management may extend the LTO based on a future analysis of the Beyond Meat Taco rollout.

Beyond Meat Taco features meatless Beyond Beef Feisty Crumbles sautéed with medium chipotle salsa, diced onions and minced serrano peppers. Taco Del Mar restaurants then top these with shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and jalapeños. What’s more, Taco Del Mar Beyond Meat Tacos are served on warm tortillas.

Guests can also choose to have their burritos, enchiladas, taco salads, or quesadillas Beyond Meat-style. Beyond Beef Feisty Crumbles make for a convenient, plant-based protein alternative.

“By introducing Beyond Meat to our guests, we continue our commitment to producing innovative and delicious menu offerings that embrace our signature Baja-style, Coastal Mexican flavors,” said Chef Mike Gieseman, Director of Culinary and Innovation for Rego Restaurant Group, parent of Taco Del Mar.
