Limited-time offer brings tropical element, opportunity for sales lift
Red Lobster launched its new, 3-Course Shrimp Feast promotion. The deal includes a choice of soup or salad, one entree and Triple-Chocolate Brownie as dessert for $14.99. The Orlando, Fla.-based seafood-centric concept joins other major casual-dining chains like Ruby Tuesday, Applebee’s and IHOP that have launched January promotions to spur sales at an otherwise slow time.
The limited-time Red Lobster 3-Course Shrimp offer also brings a tropical element: The casual-dining chain features new Hawaiian-Style Garlic Shrimp and Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp. Also, favorites, including Garlic Shrimp Scampi and Crunchy Popcorn Shrimp, returned. In addition, the Feast includes unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
“While it may be winter outside, we’re introducing a new shrimp dish with a tropical twist to get our guests dreaming of warmer weather, like a (virtual) Hawaiian vacation, with the new Hawaiian-Style Garlic Shrimp featuring roasted shrimp, tossed with garlic and a creamy coconut butter and fresh pineapple,” said Dustin Hilinski, Red Lobster executive chef and director of Culinary.
