Industry veteran retains training group oversight after promotion
Robert Garcia has been promoted to vice president of franchise operations, training and development at one one of the largest US chicken QSR chains. Bojangles’ announced the promotion of the training executive. Garcia will now oversee all support operations for the Franchise group. In his new position, Garcia will now report to Brian Unger, Bojangles’ chief operating officer.
As a season executive, Garcia joined Bojangles’ for national operations initiatives. From his days as a teenager, he’s been involved in the QSR segment. Initially, he took a position as crew member at Burger King. Twenty-one years passed before he went to work at McDonald’s Corporation. Most recently, Garcia held various executive positions, including vice president, East Division Company Owned Restaurants.
In addition, he earned his Master’s of Business Administration degree at the University of Miami. “We are one big family at Bojangles’ and our franchise partners are very important to us,” said Garcia. “We are committed to working harder than ever to help them be successful.”
