Noodles and Company debuted Grilled Orange Chicken Lo Mein on its menu. The fast-casual noodles and Zoodles chain takes a different approach to the otherwise decadent Chinese-American dish: prepared with grilled chicken, it’s a lighter variation of it. Noodles and Company also returned Zucchini Shrimp Scampi, which was popular during its introduction in February 2019.

For the new, Noodles and Company Grilled Orange Chicken Lo Mein, the restaurants sautee lo mein noodles with snap peas, Napa and red cabbage in a slightly sweet orange sauce. They then top it with grilled chicken, green onions, black sesame seeds and cilantro. Guests can replace the lo mein noodles with Zoodles to customize their own lighter version.

“The new Grilled Orange Chicken Lo Mein showcases the fresh, tangy flavors true to the original Chinese orange chicken while steering clear of artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or preservatives,” said Nick Graff, executive chef at Noodles & Company.

Also featured, Zucchini Shrimp Scampi combines shrimp in a light scampi sauce with roasted zucchini and Roma tomatoes. Noodles tops the dish with Parmesan cheese, parsley and fresh lemon. Broomfield, Colo.-based Noodles and Company markets this dish as a lighter dish made for New Year’s resolutions.
