Boston Market promotes Eric Wyatt to chief executive officer
Wyatt succeeds former CEO Frances Allen
Boston Market promoted Eric Wyatt to CEO from his position as chief operating officer. He succeeds Frances Allen, the rotisserie-style chicken chain’s former chief executive. In his new role, Wyatt will oversee a newly-created office of CEO at Boston Market. Caryn Doyle, chief financial officer, and Randy Miller, chief administrative officer and general counsel, also belong to this new group.
Before working at Boston Market, Wyatt served as operations partner/vice president of Operations for Panera Bread. The role supported over 40 cafes in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Prior to Panera, he held the role of vice president of Store Operations Support for Bath & Body Works, supporting 1,500 stores. He also worked at Starbucks, Taco Bell and ExxonMobil.
“I am honored to take on the role as CEO and work collaboratively with this dynamic C-level team to build on our momentum and execute on our plans for moving forward,” said Wyatt.
According to the announcement from Golden, Colo-based Boston Market, Allen, the chains’ former CEO, made great strides in moving the fast-casual chain forward, while building a strong executive team. In addition, he helped increase guest satisfaction and restaurant profitability. Allen plans to move on to a new venture, noting there’s a structure and game plan in place to continue building on recent successes.
Allen added, “While the decision to take on this new opportunity was extraordinarily difficult, I am confident I am leaving the brand in outstanding hands.”
