Krispy Kreme rolls out Butterfinger-themed doughnut LTOs
Collaboration with Butterfinger brings ‘chocolatey crunchiness’ front and center
Krispy Kreme collaborated with the Butterfinger brand for two new doughnuts released February 20. Krispy Kreme’s new Butterfinger Original Filled Doughnut and Butterfinger Fudge Cake Doughnut arrive on menus for a limited-time at Krispy Kreme doughnut shops. “Fans of both brands are going to love the chocolatey crunchiness of Butterfinger matched with the airy sweetness of Krispy Kreme,” said Dave Skena, chief markeitng officer for Krispy Kreme.
For a limited time, Krispy Kreme offer these Butterfinger-themed treats. The Butterfinger Original Filled Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut that’s filled with Peanut Butter Chocolate Kreme™, dipped in Butterfinger icing. Then it’s topped with Butterfinger pieces and a chocolate drizzle.
The Butterfinger Fudge Cake Doughnut starts with a rich chocolate cake doughnut. Krispy Kreme then dips it in chocolate icing and tops it with a Peanut Butter Chocolate Kreme and Butterfinger pieces.
Store participation will vary across the system. Now a subsidiary of a JAB Holding affiliate, Krispy Kreme operates and franchises nearly 1,400 doughnut shops, and produces sweets available at approximately 12,000 food retailers. The chain was founded in 1937.
