First BJ’s restaurant in Massachusetts opens at Shops at Emerald
BJ’s Restaurants opened a new restaurant and brewhouse at Shops at Emerald in North Attleboro, Mass. The new restaurant on Washington Street spans 7,500 square feet and seats about 230 guests, according to an announcement from the casual-dining chain. The opening marks the first BJ’s restaurant in Massachusetts. According to Greg Trojan, BJ’s chief executive, the chain will open eight to ten restaurants this year.
He added, “We look forward to opening more restaurants in the northeast, as we continue our national expansion. Our 2020 new restaurant openings pipeline is in excellent shape and we remain on target to open eight to ten restaurants.”
In North Attleboro, BJ’s will offer its menu of traditional American favorites, including deep-dish pizza, robust selection of beer and popular Pizookie dessert. BJ’s design and format brings customers in for a variety of occasions. Sunday through Thursday, the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. and closes at midnight. It offers extended hours Friday and Saturday, opening at 11 a.m. and closing at 1 a.m.
In addition, BJ’s donated the proceeds of all alcohol purchases at this event to the BJ’s Restaurants Foundation. It’s a non-profit charitable organization, which supports charities that benefit children’s healthcare and education. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a primary beneficiary of BJ’s Restaurants Foundation.
BJ’s Restaurants owns and operates 209 restaurants in 29 states. The casual-dining chain is known for its beer, pizza and American favorites, including its Enlightened Entrees menu. The lighter offering offers creative dishes, like the Cherry Chipotle Glazed Salmon.
