Applebee’s rolls out LIT as March Featured Drink of Month

LIT a variation of popular Long Island Iced Tea

Applebee’s rolled out the March Featured Drink of the Month. The Dollar LIT (Long Island Iced Tea) becomes the latest cocktail special at the casual-dining chain. Applebe’’s is marketing the promotional beverage as an ideal accompaniment during March Madness, Saint Patrick’s Day and other March festivities.

Available throughout March, Applebee’s Dollar LIT features vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec, and sweet & sour, topped with cola. For a $1, the bargain beverage is expected to help bump drink sales at Glendale, Calif.-based Applebee’s. “And for just $1 you can cheer with your friends, all day, every day,” said Patrick Kirk, vice president of Beverage Innovation at Applebee’s.

Price and participation vary by restaurant across the Applebee’s system. Its parent, Dine Brands Global, and subsidiaries operate and franchise 1,794 Applebee’s restaurants
