QSR burger chain aims to beef up sales with LTOs
Steak n’ Shake serves up decadence this spring with the seasonal additions of Pork Belly Steakburger, a Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milkshake, and a Cotton Candy Milkshake. The limited-time offerings (LTOs) shake up the menu as the QSR chain looks to beef up its sales while it and most restaurants across the country operate in takeout mode only.
The Pork Belly Steakburger comes in 100-percent beef Double Steakburger fashion, topped with crispy, glazed, thick-cut pork belly, caramelized onions, American cheese, and finished off with a savory maple bourbon sauce.
“Our culinary team nailed it by adding the luxurious taste of pork belly to our premium patties for this brand-new addition to our lineup—it’s literally a juicy burst of deliciousness with each bite, at a price point that belies the quality,” said Rich Scanlan, SVP of Steak ‘n Shake Operations.

Another new LTO addition arrives in the form of the Steak n’ Shake Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milkshake. Made with ice cream, it’s a blend of black raspberry syrup and chocolate chips, topped with whipped cream, an extra sprinkle of chocolate chips, and a cherry.
What’s more, the new Cotton Candy Milkshake imparts the sweetness of cotton candy flavor in a milkshake topped with whipped cream and a cherry. In addition, the LTO milkshakes were added to the “We Are All Essential” Milkshake Happy Hour in which Steak n’ Shake offers a half-price discount from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., in addition to free fries with orders made in the drive-thru.
