As diners’ concerns about safety increase, solution timely
Technology company SevenRooms released a new solution, known as Contactless Order and Pay. Now restaurant operators can streamline in-restaurant ordering and payments for their guests. With its latest product, the company aims to help restaurant owners reduce labor expense and can keep staff safe. As SevenRooms’ Contactless Order and Pay runs on customers’ smartphones, it may offer an alternative that feels safer.
In a recent survey, Market Research Answers found that half of customers are concerned about restaurant operators’ ability to keep customers and employees safe. As restaurants reopen, technology companies will be working feverishly to provide solutions that help customers and restaurant staff minimize contact and leverage staffing configurations in limited-capacity dining rooms.
SevenRooms has already developed technology to manage reservations and waitlist management, direct delivery & pick-up, reputation management, and marketing automation. With its new Contactless Order and Pay solution, guests can use it without downloading an app. They will simply scan a QR code, use near-field communication (NFC) or visit a specific web address on any mobile device. This makes it easy for guest to select menu items, and then use a credit card or digital wallet to check out.
