First Alaska Fatburger opens in Fairbanks near University of Alaska campus
Co-branded restaurant with Buffalo’s Express lands on Airport Way
The first Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express co-branded restaurant opened in Fairbanks, Alaska. The grand opening of the new store on Airport Way was celebrated June 29. Parent Fat Brands operates and franchises 8 restaurant concepts across the country. The Fairbanks Fatburger-Buffalo’s Express operates Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Fatburger’s highly customizable menu allows guests to add everything from back to eggs and chili, jalapenos and onion rings.The recent addition of the Impossible Burger has expanded plant-based options. The Buffalo’s Express menu offers a choice of bone-in or boneless wings with a variety of sauces, including Scorchin, Carolina Fire BBQ, Asian Sesame, Coconut Jerk, Honey Garlic, and Sweet Bourbon BBQ.
“Our new co-branded Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express is our first Alaskan restaurant, but we’re sure it will be a local favorite in no time,” said Andy Wiederhorn, Fat Brands chief executive, of the new restaurant, which is located just southeast of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.
Fat Brands has expanded to include Fatburger, Buffalo’s Cafe, Buffalo’s Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Elevation Burger, Yalla Mediterranean and the Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses, A total of 375 restaurants operate under these restaurant brands.
