Three-unit deal to be managed by franchisee’s nephews
Ziggi’s Coffee signed a new deal with franchise partner Sergio Bermudez to bring the coffee chain to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The new agreement for three stores will expand the specialty coffee shop and its drive-thru-focused brand in the state. Bermudez operates a grocery business and restaurants in the area.
Bermudez’s nephews, Luis and Freddie, will take on the coffee franchise as the family develops the next generation of the family, said an announcement. “My brothers and I started our first business over 22 years ago, and now that our children are growing up, it’s time to bring them in and continue to build our legacy together as a family with Ziggi’s Coffee,” said Bermudez.
Longmont, Colo.-based Ziggi’s Coffee operates and franchises 25 stores in the United States and has 38 units development. “We signed on for three units to start but we’re not in this to just open two or three locations; we want to have locations throughout the whole state,” added Bermudez.
