Summer-fruit flavors ideal for season
Pinkberry added Watermelon Lime frozen yogurt to its menu. The August 7 launch brings a summertime flavor ideal for the season. QSRs continue to innovate, introducing new products and limited-time offerings as part of a push to keep customers—many of whom are homebound amid the health crisis—interested in going out to patronize foodservice establishments.
The indulgence and familiarity of frozen yogurt should boost the category as pandemic consumers seek familiar foods with authenticity. Customization is a key part of the Pinkberry experience, and guests can personalize their orders, including new Watermelon Lime froyo, with fresh, never frozen, fruit, in addition to premium granolas and nuts, specialty chocolates, and other ingredients.
“The delicious combination of watermelon and lime brings a sweet but tart taste that guests will go wild over,” said Melissa Hubbell, senior director of marketing for Kahala Brands, which is the parent company of Pinkberry.
Pinkberry is among 29 fast-casual and fast-food concepts franchised by Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Kahala Brands, a subsidiary of MTY Food Group.
