QSR pizza chain promotes value-based deal
They say “two is better than one,” and in this case, that might be 100-percent of the motivation behind the launch of the Pizza Hut Double It Box. Holding two one-topping pizzas for $12.99, the Double it Box takes on greater importance as families and groups look for value-based food deals with convenience.
At less than $1 a slice, the new offering is being promoted by the Plano, Texas-based pizza chain for its significant value.
Pizza Hut offers customers contactless delivery, carryout and curbside-pickup options. The Double It Box—like many other of the pizza chain’s selections—can be ordered online, on the Pizza Hut app or over the phone.
“…Even when you decide that it’s pizza night, the negotiations on toppings can be fierce,” said George Felix, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut. “With the new Double It Box, there’s no compromise needed—a pizza for the kids and a pizza for the parents so everyone at the table has the power to choose the topping they want for less than a dollar a slice.”
