Target Corporation VP lands at Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings, part of Inspire Brands Restaurant Group, named Rita Patel chief marketing officer. She will assume her responsibilities effective September 14. Reporting to Lyle Tick, president of Buffalo Wild Wings, she will take on the brand’s digital innovation efforts, menu development and brand experience. Patel comes from Target, where she currently serves as vice president, spearheading brand management initiatives.
“Throughout her career, Rita has been known for her creative and strategic approach to building brands and engaging with consumers, while also demonstrating a strong drive for results. Her unique experiences in consumer marketing for a variety of well-known global brands makes her a natural fit for fan-favorite Buffalo Wild Wings,” said Tick.
Patel acquired a robust expertise in marketing while working at high-profile consumer companies, including Target, Wrigley, MillerCoors, and Beam Suntory. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from DePaul University. Patel also received a M.B.A. from Loyola University in Chicago.
Buffalo Wild Wings operates among Inspire Brands’ restaurant concepts, which also include Arby’s Restaurants, Rusty Taco, Sonic Drive-In, and Jimmy John’s.
