Taco Cabana expands menu with Mango-Habanero Pulled Pork Torta, new QuesoMania

Torta-based platform ideal as menu diversifies

Taco Cabana unveiled new menu offerings, including Mango-Habanero Pulled Pork Torta, and the recently-launched QuesoMania. The Torta-based dishes are a first for the San Antonio-based chain, and may result in additional menu expansion. Taco Cabana also added to their MargaritaPalooza offerings in the way of new flavors.

The Mango-Habanero Pulled Pork Torta goes for $5.29 while the plate with rice and beans is priced at $7.29. An a-la-carte Taco version of the Mango-Habanero Pulled Pork goes for $2.29, while a cabana bowl and plate retail for $5.99 and $6.99, respectively.

The QuesoMania gives customers additional queso options, which Taco Cabana offers for $2.99 or $4.29. The Mexican-style QSR chain offers three flavor combinations: Queso with corn; cotija cheese and Taco Cabana Hot Sauce; Queso with chorizo, beans and jalapenos and Queso with ground beef and pico de gallo

MargaritaPalooza selections also get a refresh, as the chain swaps out six flavors with new ones, and an additional by-request-only Dr Pepper margarita is also available.The Lime, Strawberry, Mango, Blue Curacao, Mangonada and Watermelon margaritas, plus the soda-based Dr Pepper, become attractive all-day offerings at stores in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio.

Fiesta Restaurant Group operates Taco Cabana restaurants, which are exclusively located in Texas.

“We’ve been thrilled by the response to MargaritaPalooza and QuesoMania and we are excited for the addition of the Mango-Habanero Pulled Pork offerings to our menu,” said Rich Stockinger, Fiesta Restaurant Group president and chief executive.
