Sonic unveils Halloween Trick or Treat Blasts featuring three mix-ins

A DIY costume kit for the Blasts arrives in October

Sonic Drive-In announced it will feature Halloween Trick or Treat Blasts that combine three mix-ins for the holiday. The unveiling of the Vanilla Trick or Treat Blast and the Chocolate Trick or Treat Blast comes during the school season and arrival of autumn. What’s more, Oklahoma City-based Sonic will provide instructions for festive costumes as a DIY kit, activating website downloads starting October 19, creating an engaging activity for families.

The QSR chain prepares the Vanilla Trick or Treat Blast with M&M’S Minis, Snickers bar bits and Oreo cookie pieces. The Chocolate Trick or Treat Blast features the added indulgence of rich, chocolate syrup. Guests can order either Sonic Trick of Treat Blast for a limited-time through November 1.

“By packing in bites of Halloween favorites in each spoonful, we’ve captured the thrill of digging into a trick or treat haul in one frozen treat, served Sonic-style,” said Scott Uehlein, vice president of Product Innovation and Development for Sonic.

With school season formats and schedules being unpredictable this year due to the health crisis, expect to see QSR chains ramp up fun, in-restaurant and virtual promotions to celebrate the holidays and spread positive cheer.
