Bojangles adds Carolina-style BBQ, returns Pork Chop Griller Biscuit

Rollout comes days before National Pulled Pork Day

Bojangles added a Carolina-style, pulled-pork BBQ, prepared with a blend of tangy vinegar and slow-cooked smoky flavors, to the menu. The new addition comes in advance of October 12, which is National Pulled Pork Day. The chicken and biscuit chain offers the BBQ as a sandwich combo, dinner plate and as part of the Big Bo Box Family Meal. Bojangles also brought back the Pork Chop Griller Biscuit.

Coming off a brand refresh, Charlotte, N.C.-based Bojangles is livening up the menu as fall weather rolls in. New messaging around scratch preparations is part of the reimagined marketing and branding. Here are the details on the BBQ choices:

  • Bojangles BBQ sandwich combo, with optional slaw on top, a fixin’ (side) and a drink
  • BBQ dinner plate, with a biscuit and two fixin’s (sides)
  • Big Bo Box Family Meal, served in a tub

“Born and raised in North Carolina, we at Bojangles know Southern home-cooking like the back of our hand, and these hands have been busy smoking up the best barbecue in town,” said Bojangles Chef Marshall Scarborough.

The Southern QSR also returned the Pork Chop Griller Biscuit for a limited-time. Bojangles prepares the Pork Chop with a dry-rub seasoning, and serves it inside its popular buttermilk biscuit. What’s more, a surprise social media event will arrive around National Pulled Pork Day.
