Immediately, newly-hired execs to support growth in Carolinas
Rave Restaurant Group hired two new executives to support the growth of Pizza Inn and fast-casual Pie Five Pizza. The company named Darren Webb director of development for Rave, working with both pizza chains, while it appointed Dion Firooznia franchise business consultant for Pizza Inn. The move supports expansion in the Carolinas.
Webb’s real estate development career spans15 years across notable brands. He worked for Bojangles Restaurants as director of real estate and served as real estate manager for Sam’s Xpress Car Wash, LLC. Webb also held the position of director of franchise real estate for Take 5 Oil. Rave will task him with expanding the portfolio of franchise partners and supporting the real estate and construction teams.
Firooznia also spent time at Bojangles, working with Webb. He held the position of regional vice president before operating 14 Qdoba Mexican Eats Restaurants in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina. Tapping 26 years of restaurant industry expertise, he will support franchise partners in improving the consistency ofthe guest experience.
“Darren and Dion will help continue the momentum that we’ve built and will really focus on driving development in the Carolinas, which is a key area of expansion for Pizza Inn and where both individuals are based,” said RAVE Mike Burns, Rave chief operating officer. “Darren and Dion have impressive backgrounds in developing well-known brands and a history of working together previously, so we are thrilled to have them join the RAVE team.”
Immediately, they will help ignite expansion of Pizza Inn and 230-unit Pie Five in the Carolinas. Webb will also take lead on the national expansion of the two Rave pizza chains.
