BurgerFi expands rollout of new Spicy Fi’ed Chicken Sandwich

Latest menu addition slated for availability at all restaurant locations

Fast-casual BurgerFi expanded the rollout of the new Spicy Fi’ed Chicken Sandwich. The all-natural, cage-free chicken sandwich is already available at corporate restaurants, and is currently being added to menus at all 125 locations—to be completed by mid-October. Charlie Guzzetta, president of BurgerFi, said, “We think that this will be the new spicy lovers’ go-to sandwich…”

The Spicy Fi’ed Chicken Sandwich starts with a boneless breast from Springer Mountain Farms. BurgerFi restaurants top the breast with a ghost pepper honey, homemade jalapeño-infused pickle chips, spicy mayo and sliced jalapeños and serve it in a branded potato bun.

Palm Beach, Fla.-based BurgerFi has committed to a No Antibiotics Ever (NAE) philosophy, according to its announcement, and it’s reflected in its menu development and sourcing tactics.

“Our commitment to quality through our NAE program is what sets us apart from competitors,” said Paul Griffin, BurgerFi chief culinary officer. “The Spicy Fi’ed Chicken Sandwich is made with cage-free chicken that is American Humane Certified, sourced from family-owned Springer Mountain Farms and raised with no hormones and no antibiotics, ever.”
