US Foods names Bill Hancock chief supply chain officer, EVP

Hancock will report directly to US Foods CEO

US Foods hired Bill Hancock as the new EVP and chief supply chain officer. Hancock will be responsible for warehousing, transportation, and supply chain strategy and operations effective November 9, announced the company. He will also head up safety, labor relations and continuous improvement initiatives in the warehouses.

As the new chief supply officer, Hancock will report to Pietro Satriano, chairman and chief executive. Satriano was impressed with his extensive supply chain leadership experience.

Satriano added, “His proven track record of driving customer service, improving productivity, and supporting safety will be instrumental as we continue to build a best-in-class supply chain and deliver on our Great Food. Made Easy. strategy.”

Hancock is coming from American Tire Distributors, where he held the role of SVP of Supply Chain Operations. There, he oversaw 115 distribution centers and a last-mile delivery fleet. Prior to American Tire, Hancock worked for Target Corporation as VP of Global Supply Chain Operations. At Target, he spent 14 years in various supply chain roles.

At St. Cloud State University, Hancock earned his undergraduate degree in marketing and supply chain management, and also received a M.B.A.
