Papa John’s features Double Cheeseburger Papadia, Pizza during fall season

Papa Rewards members to be first to enjoy limited-time menu items

Papa John’s Double Cheeseburger Pizza returned for the fall season. This year, it’s joined by the new, Double Cheeseburger Papadia, which has been added to the innovative $6 lineup. Both the Double Cheeseburger Pizza and Double Cheeseburger Papadia became available exclusively to Papa Rewards members starting today through October 25.

The popular, value-based $12 pizza and flatbread-style Papadia will land on the menu for the general public October 26. Both products should be available through December 27.

The Double Cheeseburger Papadia aims to impress with one quarter pound of seasoned beef, with crunchy dill pickles and “melty cheese,” inside a flatbread baked to a crisp. Papa John’s customers can enjoy the new Papadia with the chain’s signature burger dipping sauce.

Papa John’s has performed well financially as it has embraced the introduction of new and limited-time offers. In its second quarter, it posted comp sales growth of 28 percent from last year, continuing to improve its positioning in the pizza category.

This year, the QSR pizza chain doubled down on menu innovation, unveiling the Grilled Buffalo Chicken Papadia, Jalapeño Popper Rolls and the limited-time offer Shaq-a-Roni pizza.

To better its recruitment and franchisee support initiatives, the Louisville, Ky.-based restaurant chain will move most of its corporate functions to Greater Atlanta next year.

“The new Double Cheeseburger Papadia tastes like a cheeseburger wrapped in Papa John’s signature pizza dough. ,” said Tom Smith, Papa John’s director of culinary innovation. “We’re confident that we can satisfy even the most discerning cheeseburger lover.”
