El Pollo Loco to bring people together via holiday menu, Kids on Culture campaign

New Tamale Bowls featured on holiday menu

El Pollo Loco will bring back its holiday menu, featuring new Holiday Tamale Bowls, November 2, while also launching a new holiday campaign, “Kids on culture,” calling on its customers to adopt inclusivity. The campaign, supported by social media, and digital and TV advertising, will promote bringing customers together as we close out a year that proved to be difficult and divisive, with the premise that food crosses all barriers.

Kids on Culture: Food crosses all barriers

In a 30-second video, El Pollo Loco features kids from different backgrounds commenting on how to bring people together. The sharing of food is a focal point—the children will highlight how food promotes “culture, tradition, and understanding,” announced the QSR chicken chain.

“When you share food that’s part of your tradition, you share part of yourself, which leads to greater understanding and ultimately brings people closer together,” said Bernard Acoca, president and chief executive of El Pollo Loco. “Who better to express this sentiment than children who bring an innocent and unadulterated view on life.”
