Pizza Hut rolls out Beyond Italian Sausage, Great Beyond Pizza nationwide for limited time

Beyond Meat selections also introduced in London

Pizza Hut has rolled out Beyond Italian Sausage Pizza and The Great Beyond Pizza as limited-time offerings. The Plano, Texas-based chain developed the two Beyond Pan Pizzas in partnership with Beyond Meat. The classic Italian herbs and spices, like garlic, onion, paprika, and fennel seeds, enhance the sausage-like taste, suggested the chain, as it emphasized the close likeness of Beyond Sausage crumbles to real sausage.

With the national launch of Beyond Pan Pizzas, Pizza Hut appears to be the first national pizza chain to bring a plant-based meat alternative pie to diners.

The Yum Brands subsidiary provided descriptions for its new Beyond Pan Pizzas:

  • Beyond Italian Sausage Pizza – a classic cheese pizza topped with plant-based Beyond Italian Sausage crumbles that feature a blend of Italian seasonings
  • The Great Beyond Pizza – A specialty pizza crafted with fresh veggie toppings that include tomatoes, sliced red onions and banana peppers, served on the classic Original Pan crust with savory Beyond Italian Sausage

The Beyond Italian Sausage Pizza and Great Beyond Pizza are available for a limited time at all traditional Pizza Hut locations nationwide.

The Great Beyond Pizza recipe can also be applied to different crust selections, including Original Stuffed Crust (with upcharge), Hand-Tossed and Thin ‘N Crispy crusts. Customers can also enjoy beyond sausage as a one-topping pizza selection.

“The Beyond Italian Sausage is rich, juicy and has the signature Pizza Hut flavors—pizza lovers everywhere are going to love it,” said David Graves, Pizza Hut chief brand officer.
