Frosted Snowflake Donut also added to holiday menu
Dunkin’ debuted a new Sugarplum Macchiato beverage, inspired by holiday visions of sugarplums. The coffee chain will serve the new holiday drink hot or on ice.
This espresso drink features bright berry flavors of blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, and plum, with notes of vanilla and a sweet sugary finish, announced the QSR. Combined with premium espresso and milk, the sugarplum flavor preparation creates a light-purple layered visual presentation.
Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin is soliciting feedback on the taste of the new Sugarplum Macchiato beverage. Customers can provide their description of the taste on social media using a special seasonal AR lens on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook using the #DunkinSugarplum hashtag. As part of the promotion, customers, celebrities, influencers, employees, and the brand’s own culinary team will post videos on its social media channels during December.
“Our Sugarplum Macchiato is a colorful twist on a well-known, but perhaps mysterious-tasting, flavor of holiday lore,” said Jill Nelson, VP, Marketing Strategy at Dunkin’. “It’s the perfect complement to our fan-favorite holiday latte lineup and brings even more delicious cheer to the Dunkin’ menu.”
The Sugarplum Macchiato is joined by a recently-launched Frosted Snowflake Donut. The sugary treat is prepared with purple icing and special snowflake sprinkles. In addition to the Frosted Snowflake Donut, Dunkin’ will add other holiday treats. Plus, it will decorate its existing donut collection with seasonal snowflakes for what it calls, “a festive new look.”
