New, plant-based sandwich launches as consumers focus on healthy choices
Dunkin’, a subsidiary of Inspire Brands, partnered with MorningStar Farms to introduce a new Southwest Veggie Power Breakfast Sandwich. The limited-time plant-based offer launched nationwide at participating Dunkin’ locations. The Black Bean Patty from MorningStar is served up on a multigrain thin after being stacked with an egg white omelet created with spinach, bell peppers, and onions, topped with aged white cheddar cheese.
Timely for New Year’s resolutions, the Dunkin’ Southwest Veggie Power Breakfast Sandwich tallies 410 calories, 26 grams of protein and 23 grams of whole grains, noted Dunkin’ in a statement.
The Canton, Mass.-based coffee chain will award its DD Perks members twice the points with the purchase of the plant-based sandwich through January 26. Alternately, Dunkin’ loyalty members can opt for an Oatmilk Latte for a 2X point reward, as well.
Dunkin’ VP of Marketing & Culinary Jill Nelson, commented, “Dunkin’ is proud to expand our plant-based offerings with the introduction of the new Southwest Veggie Power Breakfast Sandwich to meet the needs of our guests and provide the flexitarian and vegetarian options they crave to keep running any time of day.”
