New addition follows expansion of plant-based menu options in 2020
Donatos introduced cauliflower wings nationwide. The new wings are made from cauliflower florets, roasted and tossed in one of four dry rubs or three sauces. The use of cauliflower in the new addition reinforces the chain’s plant-based initiatives, including the launch of a cauliflower crust and four signature pizzas that feature plant-based sausage, made last year.
The Columbus, Ohio-based pizza chain has been diversifying its menu. oven-baked subs, salads, appetizers, and desserts are among the many choices on the Donatos menu.
“We are thrilled about the addition of cauliflower wings to our menu,” said Donatos CEO Tom Krouse. “Plant-based foods are more in demand now than ever, and our menu innovation team continues to develop great products to meet our customers’ needs.”
Donatos, which is family-owned, operates and franchises 261 stores nationwide, including a licensing agreement with 79 Red Robin locations.
