New unit reflects growth of fast-casual chain
I Heart Mac & Cheese and More opened a new store in Augusta, Georgia. The fast-casual chain partnered with franchisee Brandie Taylor to open the restaurant, bringing customizable bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches to the area. Taylor is a US Army veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Augusta I Heart Mac & Cheese and More’s menu offerings are expected to resonate in the market. Selections, like Vegan Delight Bowl, Short Rib Philly Bowl and Cuban Grilled Cheese Sandwich, reflect comfort-style foods that are gaining traction during the COVID crisis.
The Boca Raton, Fla.-based franchise has opened in the states of Florida, Georgia, New York, and Texas. The pipeline includes future units in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Texas.
“Brandie’s enthusiasm is contagious and we’re grateful to have someone like her on our team,” said Steve Giordanella, I Heart chairman and chief executive. “We’re thrilled to be able to support her every way we can during her grand opening.”
