IHOP names Kieran Donahue chief marketing officer

Hospitality marketing executive takes top marketing post family-dining chain

IHOP named veteran hospitality marketing executive Kieran Donahue chief marketing officer February 22. The former Marriott executive has two decades of experience in the field of marketing and is a “transformational 500 executive” with established marketing acumen, according to an IHOP statement.

Donahue will be charged with IHOP’s advertising, digital innovation, communications, menu development and brand engagement. She most recently worked at Marriott, serving as vice president, Brand, Marketing and Digital for the Americas, working to transform the hotel company’s lead generation programs.

IHOP President Jay Johns said, “Given her impressive professional history surpassing business goals, building trusted relationships and empowering teams, I have no doubt that she will play an integral role in further building guest trust and leading IHOP to its next phase of growth.”

During her career, Donahue has held leadership positions at Hilton Enterprises; DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Hotels and Resorts. Prior to Hilton and 2001, she worked in sales, marketing and public relations in New York and Los Angeles.

Donahue reports directly to Johns.
