Culver’s taps Rick Silva for CEO post, succeeding Joe Koss
Silva’s golden touch with burger chains bodes well for success at Culver’s Franchising
Culver Franchising tapped Enrique “Rick” Silva to chief executive officer post of Culver’s, its custard and ButterBurger chain. He served as CEO at Checkers & Rally’s Restaurants, where he was credited with the improvement and transformation of the drive-thru and drive-in quick-service chains. There, he improved the enterprise value of Checkers & Rally’s to $525M from $180M, improving margins and beefing up franchise sales.
Prior to Checkers & Rally’s, Silva worked at the corporate offices of Burger King for 13 years.
Silva will succeed Joe Koss, who retired at the end of last year after leading Culver’s for 23 years, and takes the helm effective March 29.
Prairie Du Sac, Wis.-based Culver’s operates and franchises 792 restaurants with the support of 496 owner-operators and 31,000 team members across the system.
“We are confident that Rick can do all three and are excited to see what he brings to further accelerate Culver’s,” said co-founder Craig Culver.
