‘Old world tavern’ also penetrating Boston, Washington markets
Taffer’s Tavern will open a new location in Las Vegas with franchisee Five Guys Taverns, LLC, as the pub concept’s development gains momentum. Five Guys Taverns opened the inaugural Alpharetta, Ga. location, which will now be followed by additional units in Georgia. The sought-after concept created by Jon Taffer, hospitality expert and TV host of Paramount’s “Bar Rescue’ series is also headed to Boston and Washington, DC based on new deals that have been brokered.
The expanded agreement with Five Guys Taverns brings Taffer’s Tavern to Las Vegas, a city Taffer calls home. Inspired by the quintessential neighborhood pub, Taffer’s Tavern aims to figure prominently among Las Vegas’ casual, social destinations. Designed to be inviting and warm, Taffer wanted to evoke the ambiance of an Old World tavern, thus the concept is adorned with dark woods, soft leathers and copper accents.
A futuristic kitchen makes use of the latest in food prep & service technology, notes the franchisor. In addition, these are hoodless and ventless designs.
“We are so happy with the response, ease of operations and guest feedback that we are definitely opening more locations,” said Hemant Suri of Five Guys Taverns, LLC. “Now that our Alpharetta restaurant is doing so well, in addition to opening more locations in and around the greater metro Atlanta area, we have decided to also open in Las Vegas and will be looking for a high-volume, second generation location in a casino, The Strip or other busy mass gathering areas.”
Jon Taffer partnered with Fransmart to build out the chain of premium, full-service taverns in the 50 largest media markets. The Alexandria, Va.-based franchise development firm has helped chains like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill grow their presence.
